36 Weeks

How far along: 36 Weeks

Sleep: Yeah, I still don't sleep.

Best Moment of the Week: Confirming that as long as all goes according to plan, we'll be meeting this little girl at 39 weeks, or sooner if she chooses.

Movement: She's still trying to roll around in there. Silly girl!

Labor Signs: At my appointment last week I was 50% effaced and 1 cm dilated. I've been having lots of real contractions, they're just not regular enough yet.

Belly Button: Still out. It's a lovely little snooze button.

What I Miss: Drinking water without getting heartburn and being able to play with John on the floor.

What I'm Looking Forward to: Getting settled in our new place. We still have SO much to unpack.

35 Weeks

How far along: 35 Weeks

Sleep: I wish. Between her middle of the night hiccups, waking up because I'm way too hot, and getting up to go to the bathroom oh, once every hour, I no longer sleep.

Best Moment of the Week: Another appointment where I hear that she is absolutely perfect.

Movement: She moves and moves and moves. I'm not sure that she sleeps!

Labor Signs: None. Just normal 35 weeks aches and pains. Contractions are still most likely getting us nowhere closer to labor.

Belly Button: Out, out, out. It just suddenly popped at around 33 weeks. I'm kind of excited about it, honestly!

What I Miss: Eating and cold weather!

What I'm Looking Forward to: Getting settled in our new place. We still have SO much to unpack.

Thirty Weeks

How far along: 30 weeks 2 days

Sleep: Sleep? What's that? I don't sleep anymore. Between my ridiculously bad heartburn, having to wake up to roll over, not being able to find a comfortable position for my thirty-two week belly, and having to wake up a couple times a night use the little girl's room, there's not much time left in there for sleeping. On the bright side, I'll be well adjusted for when little McKayla arrives.

Best Moment of the Week: John giving my belly kisses. Normally he won't do it because he's so distracted by belly buttons. Haha.

Movement: Let's just say we're passing our kick counts over here in about 5 minutes or less! She's quite the little mover. Occasionally she kicks me so hard I can feel the outline of her foot which is awesome and painful!

Labor Signs: Nothing really. I've been having Braxton Hicks contractions again, but at 30 weeks and measuring in at 32, I'm not really surprised.

Belly Button: Still an innie. I really don't think that's changing any time soon.

What I Miss: My stomach being where it's supposed to be. I get the worst heartburn during pregnancy, and nothing helps.

What I'm Looking Forward to: Spending the weekend celebrating this little girl! More long term, I'm SOOOOO looking forward to moving at the end of the month!!

Twenty-Eight Weeks

How far along: 28 Weeks 4 Days

Sleep: Finding a comfortable position takes longer each night, so I take far longer to fall asleep. Once I'm sleeping, though, I sleep pretty well.

Best Moment of the Week: Hearing baby McKayla's heart beat and getting my glucose test over with.

Movement: She's moving around all the time. She's still most active right when I wake up and right before I go to bed.

Labor Signs: Next to none. I hardly even have any Braxton Hicks contractions anymore!

Belly Button: It's still an innie.

What I Miss: I miss my old pants, not being kicked in the ribs, and eating a full meal.

What I'm Looking Forward to: Cade having Monday off, so we can spend the 4th of July together!
