20 Weeks!

How far along: 20 Weeks 2 Days

Sleep: Still not as much as I would like to be getting. It's difficult to get a good full-night sleep with a 14-month-old.

Best Moment of the Week: Confirming that Baby R is, in fact, a little girl!!

Movement: Lots, but mostly at night when we're relaxing watching Netflix.

Labor Signs: Still none!

Belly Button: Still hanging IN there. (Yes, I'm aware of how terrible that 'joke' was.)

What I miss: Being able to breathe well.

What I'm looking forward to: Deciding on a name for this little one which will probably take us the rest of my pregnancy just like it did with John!

19 Weeks

{In an effort to be a better blogger. I'm going to do these once a week. I'm late doing week 19, this week, but should be more on time in the future. Should be... Ha!}

How far along: 19 Weeks

Sleep: Yes, please! This week was pretty rough sleep-wise.

Best Moment of the Week: Getting more than one nap this week. Naps are awesome, but with John it's difficult to take them!

Movement: More and more every day! Baby R is kicking harder now too!

Labor Signs: None, unless you count Braxton Hicks. I have a lot of Braxton Hicks, and lucky for me  they started around 14 weeks.

Belly Button: Definitely still an innie, but definitely closer to being flat.

What I miss: Comfortably playing on the floor with John. It's definitely a lot harder to move from place to place on the floor with him.

What I'm looking forward to: Monday! Monday is our anniversary. TWO years! Monday is also our 20 week appointment as well as our anatomy ultrasound. We are looking forward to finding out baby R's sex with 100% certainty. Remember we were told GIRL at 15 weeks, so we'll see how true that was!

Pink or Blue

Yesterday at 15 weeks 4 days we found out whether we would be buying lots of pink or I would be washing a whole lot of blue, and I'll get to the verdict in a minute. For my own records, I want to post the full story of why we found out 4.5 weeks early! We weren't supposed to find out until our routine 20 week anatomy ultrasound which will be the last week of April or the first week of May. Yesterday though, after leaping to get something nasty out of John's hand before he undoubtedly put said object in his mouth, I stepped on one of his Hot Wheels, slipped, fell, and landed mostly on our poor little baby. I called my Dr. office and informed them that while I was sure I was probably over-reacting, I wanted to be safe rather than sorry which they also agreed was for the best and wanted me to come in that afternoon. I went in assuming that they'd find baby's heartbeat with the doppler and I would be on my way. Instead I went straight back into the ultrasound room! The technician checked out our precious baby, and after confirming that everything was right and well looked at me and asked me if I'd like to know what I was having. I could barely contain my excitement as I told her that I would love nothing more than to know what we were having. She said she was 95% certain and would confirm with more accuracy at my anatomy ultrasound that we are expecting a little baby...

GIRL!!!

Saturday Snapshots

I'm going to try to make Saturday Snapshots a weekly thing, but I might miss a few, or more than a few. :)

It's been too long.

Since it's been almost three months since I posted, I figured I'd post again. Sadly, in the move I lost the cord to my camera, so until we get a new camera (Thank you tax returns) my posts will be picture-less. Pictures or no pictures, this blog does need an update!

What's been going on? Well, John has been growing like a weed, STILL. I can't believe how big he's gotten. He took his first steps around Christmas and has been on the move ever since. He absolutely loves playing chase with anyone who he can get to play, and he doesn't just walk, he runs. He loves animals, and calls anything that walks on four legs a "dog". It sounds more like he's saying "OG", but every once in a while you hear the full word in there. He likes the movie 'Despicable Me', dare I say, more than he likes 'Cars'. I can't complain since I was REALLY starting to get sick of watching Cars every morning. About a month ago I walked in John's room to get him after he woke up from his nap and he was half-way over the railing to his crib. Needless to say, we've converted his crib into a toddler bed. (To anyone crib hunting... I DEFINITELY recommend a convertible crib. It was SO easy to convert and John is familiar with it, so he's still sleeping like, well, a baby.) The little guy made out like I've never seen at Christmas, and his birthday is now less than two weeks away. To say that he's spoiled might be an understatement. His Aunt Kelli gave him his birthday present in JANUARY! He got a motorized Lightning McQueen that he's just now gotten the hang of driving. He still runs into EVERYTHING though since he hasn't quite grasped how to make it turn. It's crazy to think that in less than two weeks my little baby will officially be a toddler. It's so cliche, but they really do grow up so fast! Cade is still doing well at his job. They just moved warehouses, so we're living about a mile now from where he works which is awesome because we are saving a TON on gas! I am still doing the normal, Stay-at-home mom thing and still absolutely loving it.
