Twenty-Eight Weeks

How far along: 28 Weeks 4 Days

Sleep: Finding a comfortable position takes longer each night, so I take far longer to fall asleep. Once I'm sleeping, though, I sleep pretty well.

Best Moment of the Week: Hearing baby McKayla's heart beat and getting my glucose test over with.

Movement: She's moving around all the time. She's still most active right when I wake up and right before I go to bed.

Labor Signs: Next to none. I hardly even have any Braxton Hicks contractions anymore!

Belly Button: It's still an innie.

What I Miss: I miss my old pants, not being kicked in the ribs, and eating a full meal.

What I'm Looking Forward to: Cade having Monday off, so we can spend the 4th of July together!

26 Weeks

How far along: 26 Weeks 3 Days

Sleep: I've actually been sleeping okay the past couple nights, but only once I get comfortable.

Best Moment of the Week: Booking our condo for our first vacation since before we got married. I can't wait to watch John run around at the beach, but I can wait to be seen in a swimsuit at nearly 28 weeks!

Movement: Lots and lots! Now that we're honing in on the THIRD TRIMESTER(!!!!) she's moving morning, noon, and night.

Labor Signs: Unfortunately I landed in labor and delivery on Monday night with pre-term contractions. Around 5:30 I started having contractions around 3-5 minutes apart lasting around 30 seconds that were strong, painful, and showed no signs of letting up. By just after 7:00, I was hooked up to IV fluids as I'm sure they suspected that I was dehydrated, and was being monitored. I continued to have contractions, and around 9:30 was given a shot of Terbutaline which I'm so grateful halted my contractions, and at 10:00 we got to go home with a baby still very much in my belly!

Belly Button: Still an innie, but very much closer to the surface.

What I miss: Sitting comfortably.

What I'm looking forward to: THE BEACH!

Sixteen Months

{This post is going to be long, so if you want to skip through and just look at the pictures, I won't be offended}

Today, John is 16 months!
I can't remember life without this little guy, and I mean that in a good way. He's so much fun to have around!

At 16 months John will sit for hours and play with his Cars. He likes to line them all up and then push them around all over the place. A lot of times I seriously think the boy will grow up to do something with cars. He's already taken apart a few of his Hot Wheel cars which aren't supposed to come apart, and with his bigger cars and trucks he always has them standing up so he can see what's going on underneath them and spin the wheels.

He does eat really well, but he prefers to snack. Some days it feels like all he's done for the day was eat! He seriously loves gummy snacks. When we're over visiting with my parents he will go through a box, and he'd probably eat more if we let him. If anything shows his love of food it's his ability to hear a microwave go off in any room of any house. He thinks that when a microwave beeps that it means he gets food. I could write an entire post about his favorite foods because there are so many, but let me just say that the boy can eat and leave it at that!

This boy is a water baby! He's generally a very happy and easy-going little boy, but he's his happiest when he's in the water. He absolutely loves bath time. Occasionally, now that he's big enough to do it, he will climb in the bathtub in the morning and pretty much camp out in there until I strip him down and turn on the water. He also loves the pool, and I can't wait to take him to the beach next week!

At 16 months John can say or sign (I'll indicate which words he signs):
-Mama
-Dada
-Nana
-Cat
-Car {John says 'rrrmmmmm' most of the time though}
-Love {signs}
-Eat {This one he doesn't say or sign. He blows air out like he's blowing on his food.}
-Thank you
-You're welcome {he just says 'come'}
-Bye
-Go
-Dog {He barks through his nose most of the time.}
-All done {signs}
-More {signs}
-Please {signs}
-Ball {signs}
-Come here/Pick me up {signs}
-Yes {nods his head}
-No {shakes his head}
-Baby {signs}
-Dagum
-Want that/this / What's that/this {sounds like wadat/wadis}
-Moon {he points to the moon and says 'mmmmm'}
-Good {He always says 'gum'}
-Yum
-Night Night

Twenty-FIVE Weeks!!

How far along: 25 Weeks 3 Days

Sleep: Sleep? What is that exactly?

Best Moment of the Week: This was actually a few weeks ago. Probably around 22 weeks, but it's probably my favorite pregnancy moment so far... Baby girl kicking while her daddy was talking to her. So sweet!

Movement: Still tons. She's more active at night, but I still get kicked and feel her rolling around a ton during the day.

Labor Signs: Just a few painful Braxton Hicks contractions, but otherwise nothing.

Belly Button: Still an innie. It's definitely getting closer to the surface, and I'm no longer convinced I will ever have a 'snooze button'.

What I miss: Sitting without baby parts in my ribcage, and eating a full meal without feeling like I will explode.

What I'm looking forward to: Moving at the end of next month. I am SO ready to start nesting!

21 Weeks

How far along: 21 Weeks 2 Days

Sleep: I get mom-sleep. Mom-sleep is where you get kicked in the back all night, and find pacifiers while still half-asleep.

Best Moment of the Week: Being kicked awake.

Movement: Tons and tons. She is rolling around almost continuously.

Labor Signs: Just Braxton Hicks contractions still. Nothing serious.

Belly Button: Getting close to 'popping'. I'm anxious to see if it does pop out this time. It just blended in with my belly last time.

What I miss: Shorts that fit.

What I'm looking forward to: Another week with her in my belly. I love being pregnant, and I love that I get almost 10 months of this little girl all to myself.

20 Weeks!

How far along: 20 Weeks 2 Days

Sleep: Still not as much as I would like to be getting. It's difficult to get a good full-night sleep with a 14-month-old.

Best Moment of the Week: Confirming that Baby R is, in fact, a little girl!!

Movement: Lots, but mostly at night when we're relaxing watching Netflix.

Labor Signs: Still none!

Belly Button: Still hanging IN there. (Yes, I'm aware of how terrible that 'joke' was.)

What I miss: Being able to breathe well.

What I'm looking forward to: Deciding on a name for this little one which will probably take us the rest of my pregnancy just like it did with John!
